- Digital Photo Frames are a cool way to store your photo albums. A digital image will last a 1000
years. Imagine having all of your
photo albums on one frame.
- Advantages:
- Digital photos cycling through a frame catch peoples attention.
- Easy to use for small projects.
- Disadvantages:
- Need to know your equipment before you purchase.
- Involves lots of scanning if transferring from photo albums to digital.

show in a certain order.

- - a 1 gb SD card can hold 2000 pictures.
- Make a Movie: Some frames use
mjpeg/avi or mpeg. If you make a
movie with sound some frames have stereo.
- - great if you want music or sounds to go with the frame.
- - a movie will be bigger than a photo album.

- A computer with card slots and
USB that are handy. If your
computer does not a card slot you can purchase them to plug into USB.
- A digital frame. Some come with cables to hook to your
computer.
- Of course a digital camera or a scanner if you are just scanning old
pictures to clear out some photo albums to bring them to life.
- Software if you are going to be
creative and make movies to put in your frame or a photo editor to put
titles on your pictures

- When you buy your frame make sure it takes the same card as your camera.
- If not sure take your camera into the store with you when you go to
purchase.
- Go on vacation, take pictures, come back and pop your card into the
frame. It will play in the
sequence you took the pictures.

- MovieMaker will save your movie to a wmv format. The standard save to my computer seems
to work. However if your
conversion gets to large you will need to look at my moviemaker how to
guide in order to compress down further.
- I have found a free great utility called internet video converter. This is used to convert from wmv to
mpeg or any other format your frame may require.
- If your movie is really big and you do not want to change a thing you
might have to pony up for a larger storage card.

- This utility is needed if you want to build a title picture in the
beginning. If you can put titles
on your images with software you already have that is fine also.

- Windows XP users just click on the install link and everything will
install fine.
- Windows Vista user will need to create a folder on the C: and name it
????. I called mine IVC and
install the program to there. If
you do not do this you will get an error.
